What is involved?

We would like to invite staff working in PICUs, PIC transport services and referring hospitals to participate in a 1: 1 interview with a member of the DEPICT study team (who are based at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London). In this interview you will have an opportunity to tell us what you think about transport services that transfer children into your intensive care unit. Any views that you share would be anonymous.

Semi-structured interviews will be conducted to elicit staff experiences and perceptions of the transport of critically ill or injured children/young people, the impact of the service on the care provided to the children/young people themselves, and any wider impact on other patients and services. Any views that you share would be anonymous.

The interview would be at a time that is convenient to you and would be over the phone (but could be face to face if you prefer). Interviews are expected to last 30-45 minutes and will be recorded and transcribed verbatim.

Any questions?

More information about participating in the interviews can be obtained from the PICU research team or by contacting the DEPICT Study team by email:
